Every great countertop starts with a great stone slab. That’s why we go to great lengths to ensure that our suppliers deliver only the highest quality stone to us. We spend a significant amount of time searching every available supplier for the best and most affordable materials. Our yard features some of the most exclusive stones alongside many popular options. With over 100 color choices to select from, our stone yard is a must-see.
When you first start shopping for your stone countertop, your selection makes all the difference. Our staff members take the time to review every color choice and present homeowners with options not only in stones but also in cabinet colors. All of this is to ensure that the stone you pick is a perfect fit for your project.
Once you have selected one of our beautiful stones, a staff member will make an appointment at your home to create an exact replica of your cabinet layout. This template will be used to custom fabricate your stone countertops. It is important that you are present for the template-making process, as any changes or special requests must be addressed at this time. The quality of your finished product depends significantly on how precise the template is made.
Here again is where working with us makes a difference: the owner is the person creating the template. That’s right, our owner will come to your house to ensure that you receive the most accurate setup and that all necessary information is collected to guarantee the perfection of the finished product.
Once a template has been made and returned to our fabrication shop, our crew of expert craftsmen will match the template to the selected slabs and will move pieces until we obtain the best color match and flow for your countertop. The truth is that some other shops will just put the pieces on the cutting board and go to town. We take our time and prepare the positioning of each piece on the slab to ensure the best fit. This is also the reason why you truly want to work directly with the fabricator and not some intermediary who either doesn’t understand the fabrication process or just doesn’t know it.
When we finally find the best solution, our sawyer will begin cutting your countertops and preparing them for milling and polishing in our shop. This process takes anywhere from 2 to 3 days, depending on the size of your project. It’s also worth knowing that both hand tools and sophisticated machines are used to complete the fabrication of your project. We polish each piece by hand, ensuring that every linear inch is perfect in shine and color. Oftentimes, polishing machines cannot achieve the same quality of polish as an experienced polisher. Our polishers have over 10 years of experience, and we can assure you that no one can achieve a better shine than we can.
The installation process is the final step to complete your project. It is also the most important step, as this will be the final product, and much attention to fit and finish must be given to ensure the superior quality of your countertop. Just as with templating, the owner is present at each and every installation to ensure that the final fit and finish exceed our customers’ expectations.
Walls will never be straight, and cabinets will never be level, but unlike other fabricators, we don’t use these facts as an excuse. We take our time and do everything possible to achieve a perfect fit and finish. We also take great care of your home. We put padding on the ground to prevent scratching your floors, ensure that any furniture that could be damaged is out of the way, and when we are done, we will clean up the work area and take all the trash with us. Moreover, our installers are not allowed to smoke or listen to loud music while in your house or on your premises. We respect your home just as we respect our own.
